Warranty

5 Year Warranty

Etac warrants that the product and the components of the product are free from defects in material and workmanship, which means that the product and the components of the product comply with the Etac product specifications, for a period of five (5) years following shipment from Etac.

In case of product containing batteries, the warranty period for the batteries is one (1) year.

In the event that the product or any component of the product proves to be defective as described below, and this warranty is found to be applicable, Etac shall, at its sole option, repair or replace the defective product or component.

The defective product or component shall be returned fully insured with freight prepaid to Etac or an authorized Etac distributor within the prescribed warranty period. Proof of purchase shall be included. The product or component shall be inspected by Etac who shall determine whether the product or component is defective and this warranty applicable.

The Etac product shall always be handled according to the instructions given by Etac and repaired by an Etac authorized technician.

This warranty does not cover defects due to the improper handling installation or repair of the Etac product nor damage to any of these products caused by accident, misuse or neglect or any other than normal and ordinary use of the product. Etac’s sole liability extends to repair or replacement of the defective product or component as described above.

The warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed, implied or statutory whether written or oral. Other than expressly stated in this warranty, no term, condition or warranty (whether express or implied) as to the nature, quality or fitness of the Etac products for any purpose or their conformity with any sample shall be part of any contract between Etac and the customer. Etac has not given any warranty that the Etac products are fit for a particular purpose or will achieve any particular performance criteria.

For the avoidance of doubt, in no event shall Etac be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages (including loss of profits) resulting from Etac’s performance or any third party’s purchase, use, possession or disposal of the Etac products provided under this warranty.
